Previous to my purchase of the Revelations tarot, I had experience only with the Rider-Waite deck. The prospect of multiple images on one card for reversed and natural positions attracted me to the deck inititally, but after using this deck and learning from the companion book, I love this tarot as much, if not more, than my original R-W/5().

Needless to say, the complete review of both will follow, but when I took a good look at the content of "Revelation's Tarot Companion", I decided that it was worthy of mention on its own.

Zach Wong is both illustrator of the soon to be released Revelations Tarot, and author of the companion book. The Revelations Tarot Companion is divided into three sections: The Major Arcana, The Minor Arcana, and Spreads.

Each card also has a reverse image, not a mere mirror image, but a separate picture interwoven to display a different interpretation. Many feel that interpreting reversals offers additional depth and insight to readings.

But reversals are not easy for those who haven't mastered this age-old divination practice. Revelations Tarot makes it easy for beginners to use reversals too. Each card of this exquisite deck has reversible images that allow for easy interpretation no matter which way the card is laid.

The Revelations Tarot Companion book features a brief introduction about how Wong came to create the deck, brief explanations of the meanings of the cards and their symbolism, and brief explanations of three spreads.

It’s all basic. In most instances, I’d be disappointed. But in this case, the combination of the deck and book works. THE COMPANION BOOK The companion book is written by the artist, and numbers pages.

The book is thorough, but doesn't reveal everything; it just whets your appetite.4/5(74). The Revelations Tarot by Zach Wong is a really innovative deck. It is called Revelations for at least two reasons: the cards reveal wisdom and truth; you can revolve (or reverse) the cards and still read an image; That is, the cards are designed to be read both upright and reversed.

By that, I don’t mean the book includes reversed meanings. Find many great new & used options and get the best deals for Revelations Tarot by Zach Wong (, Cards,Flash Cards) at the best online prices at eBay.
